Possible PS3 demonstration at E3

From what I read it would more than likely be shown behind doors to select number of important people in the industry.
I'm wondering what kind of effect this will have on Nintendo and Microsoft, and their efforts to not allow Sony to have the lead they got this generation in the next. If Sony starting to court developers already, this could lead to Sony having a software lead on its competition, with more exclusive software.

I think that rumor is BS. Why would they show it 3 so early? If they do show it, word will get back to Nintendo and MS about what's seen...

Well concidering that Cell hasn't even hit production yet, I can tell this is already BS. Although, I do imagine Sony releasing some new information on PS3 at E3 though, it won't be in any type of playable or demo form.

QRoach... what about simulators ? There are some BIG parties ( 1 for sure it seems ) that started early PlayStation 3 development in Q1 2003 and I think Sony would like Renderware for PlayStation 3 to be available as soon as possible.

Seriously, I am expecting something like a fat Quad Xeon HT server or a fat SGI workstation running a software simulator.

Criterion are already on board. They had an hand in the PS2, they built the GScube for Sony and they will have input into the PS3.

Sony have been close with Criterion since 94 regarding R&D on it's hardware.

I would like to know more about the relationship between Criterion and Sony ( why hasn't Sony bought them yet ? well this is one of the many questions that pop to mind ) over the years...
