Possible Nokia - Bitboys connection with the N-Gage

First i want to stress that this is pure speculation since i haven't been able to verify any of this because the lack of available specs for the nokia N-gage mobile gaming platform.

But we know certain facts for sure.. The N-gage can deliver 3d graphics to some extent as we can judge from the launch game list and screen shots provided by nokia. Titles include such games as Tomb raider, Sega rally and virtually snowboarding II. And we know that bitboys has been working on a custom mobile 3d graphics hardware for some time now. Some of bitboys partners are also working on software closely related to nokia's upcoming products namely symbian os.. so i wouldn't be at all surprised if it turned out that the bitboys was the supplier of graphics technology for the console. And if it makes any difference, both companies are finnish. ;)

So i'm not saying it would happen.. but it just might and i'm eagerly awaiting some comments from the "insiders" namely Nappe1 and maybe other few..

it's a symbian/nokia model 60 in a different case (with some extra bits above the 7650)... so no hardware for sprites/3d.. but a 104mhz arm 925 is 'somewhat' more interesting than the 16mhz arm7 in a gba....

qiuck search seems that the arm925 is a ti enhanced version of an arm core with cache and arm and thumb modes this comes ( on the nokia) in a dual core with onboard dsp ,,interesting....[ something like the omap5910 ]

Actually the faq in Forum Nokia states there is no graphics hardware in N-Gage. If you have registered there, you can check http://www.forum.nokia.com/html_reader/main/1,32611,2806,00.html?page_nbr=2

2.6 Does N-Gage have additional graphics hardware?
No. There is no graphics co-processor in N-Gage. N-Gage has a relatively speedy CPU for mobile devices (104MHz ARM925).

Overall the hardware (and software) looks pretty close to the 7650 phone.

Don't know if it's possible, but ARM licenced PowerVRs MBX to integrate it into their processors. So could it be possible, hat this is a MBX powered ARM925? Hmm.... i don't give it great chances, but...who knows :)?
