PlayStation 3 firmware gets updated to 1.92

Apparently, Sony has a set of instructions for fixing this 1.92 problem:

It looks like Sony changed server and hosting site. So old URLs and DNS entries need to be cleared right away. Their firmware update probably forgot to do this.

I updated to 1.92 last night and immediately after logged onto the browser (to check B3D!), PSN and then Warhawk without any problems. And I use the browser fairly regularly - well at least once during a PS3 power-up.

I guess I shouldn't complain...

EDIT: I guess this has something to do with it: http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=82794

Apparently the changes only affected US and Japan users.

It is possible that all the caches and derived HTML pages have expired by now. If so, the system should work as expected.

EDIT: 1.93 firmware update announced on PS3 official blog. Supposed to fix any lingering network issues caused by 1.92.
