Play PSP games on PS3?

Umm...and who might those people be? Surely not existing PS2 owners or people planning on getting PS2 anyway

Dunno, maybe the folks who've bought 20 some odd million units since it's been released?

Of course those folks are exceptions right?

Most of the people who bought the PSOne were buying them to replace thier old PSXs and already own a lot of PSX games with a huge existing library available to them.

;)

Of the two people I know who own PSones:

1. Bought it for the sole purpose of playing DDR.

2. Bought it because it was 50 bucks, never owned a console before. Got FF7 and FF8 for cheap off Ebay.

It seems to me that PSones are for casual gamers who are looking for cheap entertainment.

Maybe if Sony could not get economies of scale(! !) with PSP hardware production, they might allow PSP games for PS3. Though it is hard to see why they would, when it might cause conflicts for game developers...

What next, you want PS3 games on a PSP?

yea actually i do. Don't u ? We both know it wont happen. But neither of us would be upset if it did would we ?

Btw I never spent more than ten bucks on a game boy game unless i was going on a big trip . I bought a super game boy and now the game boy for the cube. Why ? Becuae i like playing metriod fusion on my tv. It looks as good as super metriod and i played that on a tv .

This is what I want . I want the ps3 to play psp games . Even if they make me buy an adapter. I want that option. Just like some people that bought the ps2 wanted the option of using it as a dvd player. Does everyone use thier ps2 to watch movies . No . But they have the option. Will enough people play psp games on the ps3 . Yes and for those that don't they have the option to one day do this .

I know a ton of people who bought the system with the lcd screen for 100$ . Back in the day i worked at gamestop. Why did they buy it ? 90% wanted it for thier car. The others never had a playstation or thier playstation broke down and couldn't afford the ps2.

Or to have to use a tiny screen while you are right next to your 40 inch tv.

Well, considering the the PSP is armed WITH A/V outs... *grin* Heck, it even has 7.1 channel sound, eh?

nice point. What if my little sister is playing with the psp and i want to play a game too.

Btw i though that only 6.1 sound was around . Can you even buy recivers and amps that power a 7.1 system ? where does the 7th speaker go ? I know the 6.1 adds a rear center speaker. Seems wierd. would make sense to skip to 8.1 and add two center speakers inbetween the left front and left rear and the other between the right front , right rear. Oh well mabye I'm missing something .

Only think I like is the wan .

Yes, I have one (a Sony no less). Denon makes a bunch of them too. IIRC Yamaha, Pioneer, Onkyo, Kenwood, JVC, etc.. all make at least one of not more.

In back with the other center rear. In reality you're just using two speakers for the center rear channel and the receiver's DSP is taking advantage of the extra speaker coverage for soundfield processing.

The same people who bought PSones even though a PS2 could play their game...

But logically thinking it would not make any sense at all. If I were KK I wouldn't even think about PSP games in PS3.

Regarding your PS1->PS2, there was no conflict of interest, and PS2 sales only increased becse it could play PS1 games, handheld is a different thing altogether.....PSP sales would suffer if PS3 could play PSP games.
