Hello guys, i'm back from a long lazy holiday. Didn't really go anywhere, i stayed in London, taking some Italian friends for tours of the city and stuff...

Well, I've got loads of pix and thought i'd share them here, since i'd have to send loads of private messages for all the people i talk to.

Anyway, there are 2 albums, one for "people" and one for "places".

The ones named "untitledX" (where X is a number) are scanned pictures taken 2-3 weeks ago, whereas the DSCxx ones are the ones i took 2 days ago with my brand spanking new digital camera (a Sony T1, fantastic piece of machinery).

Well, have a look and let me know!

(I know, i'm a poser, what can i say, must be the Italian in me...)

Ooo, I have to wait until I get home to look at those pictures. My boss is constantly walkin past and dropping some papers (work ) at my desk and asking "is this done yet?" (that idiot, he should know that if he still has the paper, the job is not yet done)

I did look quickly some of those 'Places' pictures, very nice!
Heh, you must be careful not to put your finger in front of the lens, that happens quite often to me too with T1
I'll save those 'Peoples' pics for late night viewing...

Hehehe... For some reason, the best pics are the ones i scanned, light was much better... Still, the other ones give an idea of the picture quality. Looks like the compression in your pics is almost the same as in mine. But yeah "Fine" is a bit better than "standard"... Not a striking difference though...
Oh, many of them are at 3M, some are at 5M...

Errrrrrr didn't have to do much to be honest..... As long as he asks first before sharing with other people, i'm cool with it....

Oh Rabid, my pics' JPEG process comes up as "baseline" too, therefore i think you had "fine" setup too. I know i had.
And the default setting is "Fine" anyway i think... So the whole argument about differences between "fine" and "standard" is useless

Yep, my pics were all taken with 'fine' and 5 megapixels. That baseline is the same as fine then.
To be honest, I can't see that noise you said were in my pictures. Nor can I see it in your pics. Sure there is some noise in dark areas, but that is expectable due to the combination of small lens and 5mp.

Ok, you are better than me at taking pics, or maybe your subjects were just more photogenic and picturesque than mine.

Anyway, about the compression and the noise, yeah it's only noticeable "sometimes". Lighting conditions play a big part in the way pictures come up. Manually changing the exposure settings, just to name one, will help a lot, but to be honest i'm not gonna change the settings manually for every picture i take, and when i start doing that, i'll freak myself out...

hehe... for some reason l-b looked quite different in my mind before seeing him in pics, for example I would've sweared he'd have a dark hair with dyed stripes (among other things)

No torture. At least, not physical. Though london-boy does hate me because I tease him all the time and all he can do is sit there and stew.

okay, I need a new look if I'm going to attract some cute guys/girls and I need some advice.... those of you who have seen my pics, what do you think I should do with the hair? I'm thinking black hair and maybe black goatee, get some new glasses that don't ahve the tint. Or maybe I should do something with how my facial hair likes to grow a very pretty red? I would love to go out in drag but where I live that will very quickly get me shot by some redneck or raped by some gangbangers. So... anyone got suggestions? Oh, and I should mention that I have *very* fine hair and a high hairline so that limits what I can do with it :? Ahh yes and I'm starting to work out and am loosing lots of weight.
