Phew, nice recovery

Phew indeed, here's the story:

I normally booted up my computer, bios immediately reported that "hardware monitor had found an error".
Well I went to bios to check. Bios reports my cpu fan is not spinning. I shutdown immediately, open my case and sure enough there is a rogue molex connector interfering with my cpu fan.

I removed it and now my system works normally again.

I guess all I want to say is:

Well done Asus, Well done Intel!

Few years ago, under normal circumstances I probably would have just been let to boot normally to OS and maybe even start gaming and I would have burned 1000 euros worth of equipment and received just a little bit of smoke and bad smell. Now I guess my cpu throttled down and obviously the bios is monitoring fan speeds and interrupts the boot if error is found and that just saved my day... saved my ten years worth of computing equipment, 3 years worth of schoolwork, 5 months worth of assembly browser demo work and what not :!:
