I got the heat sink put in and I put a chassis fan in it and it runs at 1700+ RPMs and my CPU temp, is at 58C. Is this a pretty safe temp.? If not, then what self monitoring/changing cpu fan should I get?
The 58°C you're quoting, is that idle or under any kind of load?

100% CPU usage, I use SETI 24hrs. a day.
Then it seems ok. IIRC, Pentium 4s are generally qualified to run at up to 68°C, so you got some headroom there, albeit not much.

I got a 92mm fan for my cpu and it runs right around 1500rpm and my CPU temp. dropped to 50-52 depending on the air temp. in my apartment. and my Mother Board temp dropped 10degrees C to 33-37. Thanks for all the help guys.
