Heh. Fortunately my decent rock-climbing days were when I mostly soloed and bouldered - so pictures I'm afraid ;) Of late, it's all been far more sedate and very "safe".

"Put her in the Comfy Chair!!!!"

Same here, my pole vaulting days are over, but I used to be able to do vertical push ups, and we would do similar hand stands. Not that I ever heard a name for it, or ever got fully out like that. And I was only 4 or 5 feet off the soft grass, not 50+ above certain death.

Of course, the year I started pole vaulting, I don't think I remember what I ate for dinner each night. By the time I got done with practice, I'd have eaten anything. I sucked and hurt for a year before I was able to do anything.

I used to live in an area in Calcutta where a lot of new houses were being built and I would run and jump around in those building but no flips...I tried it once and landed on my neck and ever since then I kind of became apprehensive about that flipping stuff in midair...but the running sideways for one or two steps on the wall...is doable if you get the technique down I think. And as for the Osman image....unreal.

Pretty hectic!

There was a documentary about this movement on Channel 4 (UK TV channel) last year called Jump Britain IIRC.
Yes, that was an astounding program.
