Oblivion WOW factor off the scales for console gamers?

Hey no prob! I like the philosophical undertones of the Elder Scrolls pantheons, and it's clear that the writers themselves are slowly fleshing out the story as the games come on. I also like how depending on the 'books' you find in-game, their text will often contradict each other, based on the bias of the race/culture/beliefs from whence it originates. Keeps it somewhat a mystery for even the hardcore fiction followers as well.

Whoa!

***************** Minor Spolier************

I just played a side quest where this lady's husband (who's a painter) got sucked into his own painting. When I went in after him the world was pastel and earth colored brush strokes, the ground was parchment and the grass and foliage was really brushtrokes... I had to defeat the monsters with turpentine.... Ha this game is great!

Ok, another lore/story based question from me here to the people who played Morrowind and/or it's expansions. At the end of the 'story,' has the Tribunal collapsed? Or does it remain more or less the lead power in the region? And if so, are the followers aware of the death of Almalexia and Sotha Sil? (refering to the events of the Tribunal expansion here)

Sword of Goldbrand

If you think you have what it takes, and are at least lvl 20, far to the east of the Imperial City, deep in the Valon mountains is a shrine to Boetha. Inside this shrine you will battle with races across the land for the right to wield Goldbrand, one of the most powerful swords ever created.

Great weapon, well worth teh treck into the mountains. Enjoy! :D

I havn't even played any of the main quest yet, right now I'm just running around to every city buying all the houses and doin some little sidequests building up my fame and whatnot.

My only complaint about this game is some of the details and freedoms that were in morrowind were left out of the game. like being able to open everything, levitation spells, and not many clubs to join, like in morrowind you can join a vampire clan, a ruling house, diffrent tribes/dens, in oblivion you just have the basic mage/fighter/thiefs and assasins and some church groups.

hint, go to azuras shrine and do her quest it gives you azuras star, you dont ever need another soul gem again. this is great if you can make a enchanted weapon that does good magic damage and soul trap, then you dont ever have to worry about charging your weapon. or nocturnal shrine and get the skeleton key, you dont ever need a lockpick kind of makes all the time i spent on my security skill useless.
