EVGA Korea bundles googly eyes with Ampere FTW3 cards.
I'm in the US if that wasn't clear and I got most from Newegg but got 1 from Nvidia and 3 from Amazon. I also decided to do a step up for a 3090 from a 1660 the week before it launched (ordered a 1660 on Amazon registered and was in the step up queue within 2 minutes of its launch)
The last card came from the evga queue this week for the 3080 xc3 and like I said I missed the 3080 FTW3 through that queue last week. I saw the email 6 hours after it was sent.
I've gotten -
3080 founders (Nvidia)
3080 asus (Amazon)
3080 xc3 (newegg day 1)
3080 xc3 ultra (evga queue this week)
3090 asus oc (newegg)
3090 asus oc (Amazon)
3090 zotec (newegg)
3090 ftw3 ultra (step up from evga 1660)
There's been lots of ways and options to secure one of you're a even a bit dedicated and know how to think outside the box.
I will say the days of signing up for alerts from now in stock and getting a card within minutes of their email is gone.
You've got to at least put in more work than that for sure.
I've seen their alerts go off about 1/20th of the times the other discords and such have been.
https://www.pugetsystems.com/labs/a...---Does-it-work-1935/#Performance-OctaneBenchPerformance is great to look at, but one of the main reasons we wanted to do this testing was to discover if putting four RTX 3090 cards into a desktop workstation was even feasible. The higher power draw and heat output means that only cards like the Gigabyte RTX 3090 TURBO 24G with a blower-style cooler will even have a chance, but these cards are still rated for 350W each.
...
Interestingly enough, we actually had very few issues getting four RTX 3090 cards to work in a desktop workstation. Using a blower-style card like the RTX 3090 TURBO 24G from Gigabyte is certainly a must, but even under load the GPU temperatures stayed below 80C without going above 90% of the maximum GPU fan speed.
The only true problem we ran into was power draw. We measured a maximum power draw of 1717 watts from the wall, which not only exceeds what we would be comfortable with from a 1600W power supply, but also means that you should run your system from a 20 amp breaker if possible. Most house and office outlets will be on 15 amp circuits in the US, which may mean hiring an electrician to do some electrical work if you decide to use one of the very few 2400W power supplies that are available.
best thing is that nVidia delivered what they promised and most of all, performance/power consumption ratio it beats everything else to a pulp!RTX 3070 Reviews - Part 2

I'd rather double the RAM at $100 less than the 3080 as it's more useful for rendering. But Nvidia has seemingly cancelled those SKUs.The 3070 has great performance i'm just once again worried about ram. 8 gigs is not enough for 4k gaming and will only get worse. This is $500 so I'm assuming doubling the ram would bring you up to $600 which is really close to the $700 of the 3080.
Seems like a really odd pricing spread.

But why would someone who can afford a 4K gaming monitor buy a mid range GPU? Nvidia markets this as a 1440p card and i dont think its gonna run into VRAM issues anytime soon at that resolution
why wouldn't they ? 2080ti was also marketed as a 4k card and this is the same performance.
What about the gamers with cheap 4k monitors because all they saw was the 4k resolution and bought whatever they could find?Yes, 2 years ago for 1500 euro. This is a 500 euro card. Nobody who can afford a 1000 euro high frame rate 4K monitor is gonna cheap out and buy a 500 euro card. These are two different type of customers
