NVIDIA GF100 & Friends speculation

I read it as a factory overclocked GTX 480 pulling > 300W

Another report, factory overclocked GTX 480 consumes 310W

The GTX295 has a 298W TDP and the minimum requirements for that one are a 680W/46A PSU. Now that green pic for the GTX480 that floats around suggests a minimum 600W/42A PSU, so it's somewhat weird that it'll also have a 298W TDP. The recently reported 275W from SA sounds closer to reality then that one.

I don't seen anything worthwhile in those links just a collection of self-colliding speculations. If the standard 480 is truly at 275W TDP I don't see why an overclocked variant should exceed the 300W mark but that's just me.

what kind of silly arguement is this ?
Well, that's your arguement.

Nvidia exchanged money with this developer.
Really? And you know this from where? From AMD? Well, it must be true then!

Believe out right payments for performance , believe marketing money . Whatever you believe you can bet that nvidia didn't pay out money for a game to be slower on its hardware.
Let's say that I believe all that crap for a second. Should I also believe then that there were payments for performance and marketing money from AMD to developers of, say, Dirt 2 and AvP? If I believe the first I really should believe the second too you know?

That's a good default assumption.
That's a good default assumption but not for the reasons you provided.

Being so opposed to TWIMTBP games, because of "marketting money", you also didn't pay for Dirt 2 I suppose or any Valve game (among others) ?

Who ever said 600 Euros? You do know that's 825 Merkin Dollar right?

There was a post not so long ago, talking anout 599$ for the 480. In France at least, the change conversion gives 1$=1€.

And in France the official price of a 5870 is 359€

Hmm interesting. But the text written in the picture doesnt make sence with that box. By squiting and zooming at it I really see:
H = 2.08
W = 2.28

Nowhere i see the 23mm, with the reached conclusion of 529mm2.
But the H*W with the picture numbers give a pretty interesting number: 474mm2, close to the other rumored 480...

The usual price in Euro-lands is obtained simply by changing the $ in front of the given number with a €.

So in essence, the card could be $450 (or €450 in Europe).

Update: Ninja'd I see.

Sure, in Fudzilla reality ... but in Fuzilla reality Fermi ships on labour day.

It really isn't true for the major markets like Germany (and as a consequence for it's little neighbour I live in, look at the link).

Over here that's expensive.

So MSRP for the 5870 is €300, MSRP for the GTX480 would be €450 according to Fuad. Take the 470 performing a bit below the 5870 and priced about equally. What's this about competition driving the prices down?
