Next Gen XBox Site gets some familiar staff

Why is Beyond3D not listed in the friends and affiliates list?

Umm, I had seen that before, but didn't think much about it. This site was started about 6 months ago. I don't have any ownership or anything in it. I'm just one of the senior staff now. With that said the other guys didn't have any connection with Beyond3D. But now that I'm there it might make sense for Beyond3D to be listed there. I'll talk it over with the admins who can change it. Right now all I can do is add articles and messages.

Competition?! tommy might be playing nice on here, but it's war outside!!!!!! ;)

ROFL Yeah, that was the whole plan. You caught me. ;) Our site is low on the totem pole. So I can't afford to go to war with any site. Everybody's our friend! ;)

Tommy McClain is the same guy behind Dimension 3D correct?

Forgive my lack of knowledge but what is that?

Dimension3D.com was a 3D accelerator site I started in Oct 1995. I believe it was the first one. My forums were a very happening place. A lot like the 3D technology forum here. In fact, a lot of my old visitors moved here after I closed it down. I think you can still look at the site on Archive.org.

I think somebody already gave my network that one. It's very hard to run Win98 to surf the net without getting something. LOL

 Not sure what you mean by that, but here a "happening place" can mean many naughty things.... ;)

LOL sorry, I guess I'm an old geezer. Scratch that, I'm still not as old as Dig. ;) Anyway, let's just say discussions were lively. I banned quite a few people and deleted a whole bunch of messages during that time. Some people weren't very nice. It was like we had Voodoo and Verite gangs. ;)

The first Tomb Raider, a Rendition Verite patch and a 3Dfx Voodoo patch.

People will argue to death for their sides. And BTW, although it was much slower, the AA added in Voodoo is pretty eye pleasing during that period when I was playing TR with my Orchid Righteous 3D (the batch with memory sensitivity problem).

AA wasn't even available on the Voodoo1!!! Or was it? Can't remember... Anyway, even if it were, it's not like it would have been usable anyway...

Edge AA was available in the Voodoo patch and I simply love it.

I AM NOT OLD!

I'm merely extremely well seasoned. 8)

Hehehe Like a nice steak eh? :) Man, you're making me hungry. Good thing my wife is bringing my lunch today.

Ah, Tomb Raider with the rendition patch takes me back to a happy place. :)

Y'know, sometimes enemies can actually help your site go up that pole.... ;)

Edge AA was also available on the Vertite version of Quake. Now that was sweet. Intially I was a Verite fan, but as Rendition faded away I became a Voodoo fan. Still have a Voodoo3 3500TV in my home machine. ;)

It was "before my time" as well--not because I'm young, but because I wasn't paying attention to computers stuffs back then they way I do now. I imagine that applies to a lot of folks.
