This article was TOTALLY blah, it hardly mentioned any of the known facts (or assumed facts, like the pretty detailed broadband engine patent), especially regarding Nintendo. No mention whatsoever they're partnering with ATi for their new console, just re-iterating again and again Ninty made some mistakes and are struggling.

Blah! Does Gay^h mespy write *anything* that isn't more or less 100% fluff???

Edit: They also managed to fit a one-page "article" onto three pages of html, but that's ad-whoring at its finest I guess....... *sigh*

I agree, very blah and even gave misinformation.

It's speculated that the PS3 will have four CELL units in all, each one (supposedly) up to 1000 times as fast as the PS2. What that means in real-world terms remains to be seen. We suspect that backwards compatibility is unlikely

Wow, so PS3 will be 4000 times the total power of the PS2? Amazing

Sony stated 1000X overall total power for the console(which we will wait and see) not 1000X just for Cell(Which is the architecture which makes up the BE)

And you wonder how hype gets spread? It's these people who write the articles who know little about what they are talking about.

Backwards compatable unlikely? It's called putting EE+GS @ 90nm into the PS3, duh!
