Interesting I wonder how they get around the ratings issue?
There are different ratings agencies in different territories with different rules, on PS3 even if you request no region locking, if you don't have a rating for a particular region, I'm told that region gets locked out in submission. I guess they could just require ratings in all the applicable regions.

Sure works the same as ps3. Since the ps3 is also not region locked.

Thought rating just had to do with retailers not importing a game.

PS3 combines all the rating systems into a unified list. I vaguely remember it starts from 1 to 11 (or was it 13 ?)

So PEGI, ESRB, and many other rating schemes are all mapped to these numbers. When you buy a game rated 7 in Asia. You can map it to the approximated category in ESRB when you import it to US.

I doubt very much that this would work. The ratings systems are not just progressive numbers varying by region. Different regions consider different content mature.

I think it looks decent, perhaps better than the XB1 which is just too chunky for me, though the finishing looks better on Xbone.

The PS4 looks more like a games console, like the parallelogram shape, makes it look somewhat monolithic, suggesting it's powerful and cutting edge wheras Xbone just looks like another DVR, Cable box, Bluray player that goes under your TV.

The blue stripe is a neat touch, I wonder if that can change colour?

So, more powerful hardware, rechargeable controllers, more value for money PS+, discs can be traded, included headset, NO power brick, smaller design. I can understand why they chose a PS2 like design, this console is meant for world domination. It's hard to believe that Sony could pull this off after the disastrous PS3 launch.

The "negative" is that on PS4 we need to have PS+ to play online.

It was just a to low hanging fruit for Sony, and they even sweeten the deal with "free games" hard to call them free when you pay for PS+

For me right now, not an issue, but for those that doesn't play alot it just means that Online gaming is dead. Currently i only play GT5 online, and i would be super annoyed if the seasonal updates required PS+.
