Thanks guys ~

Did they say anything interesting at the event?

Nothing much on technologies or the broader gaming industry.

They talked about how the gaming industry grew up together with them.

Shuhei graduated from college without attending classes. He joined Kutaragi's small team just by being there. :)

And Mark accused Shuhei of stealing developers (e.g., NaughtyDog) from him during his Universal days. They deliberated in a bar about whether Mark should sign up new developers, or just flip the relationship and join ND as a consultant.

General tidbits like that.

I was distracted from time to time to make sure people are not pulling my PS4 from behind my back. :p

Bwhahaha congrats, you are officially a "Sony Drone" now.

Could you post some pics of it.

Pics later. I got one on my FB. ;-)

I can't be a Drone because I am too curious, and can't help criticizing something in front of me.

EDIT: It would be more cool and helpful if I could summon The Architect into Dark Souls 2.

Very nice. I would have been tempted to go with a silver pen but that black on black looks nice. Silver may be a bit garish.

Yep, like that you will be able to share to USB now, and there are some other improvements as well, like archiving support.

Will we ever gen a suspend and resume mode? I heard they had trouble getting the ARM chip to work like intended. May be a hardware issue, not software. Which is a shame, was really looking forward to having that suspend and resume feature.

Yeah I wonder too, especially since the system already suspends games for other stuff (edit and share a video, Netflix). There are a number of things I am still waiting to see fixed (control Netflix through HDMI-CEC which actually works on PS3 just fine). I was actually expecting a big firmware update just before E3, but I am guessing they felt some pressure from Microsoft's implementation of the sharing features, as this is proving a very important feature for this gen's gamer.

I doubt this very much. For a start the ARM core is always running in standby mode; it's listening for messages from the PSN store like game and firmware updates, downloads of new titles that the user have purchased on another device and wants downloaded immediately as well as uploading game saves to the cloud. It's operation is virtually independent of the rest of the system.

It's obviously a case of priorities and it sounds like not many people are complaining about this missing feature - apart from Grall and myself ;)

Undocumented addition, livestream interface now puts chat in vertical bar on the right.

Also when in fullscreen mode, short popup will jump out notifying you if there was change in viewer count [only positive increase I think] and or number of comments.

There's 3 settings for the light bar's brightness now. The lowest setting (dim) is a good compromise IMO. I'd say it's ~60% dimmer and the middle setting is ~40% dimmer. I'll try to use my light meter to actually measure the brightness of each setting when I have time. I always play in a dark room and the standard/bright setting would light up my basement and it was a bit distracting in dark scenes. Reflections on my TV were never an issue because my plasma sits just high enough, but I held it up to test and I barely see it now. I'm sure people will still complain though. Curious if it will improve the battery at all.

Is it just me or does the UI seem a bit more snappy?

No more login screen when reconnecting DS4 - wow. I might actually start using PS4 as my main movie player now; PS3 slim is rather loud unfortunately so it would be good not to have to use it.
