New Real-time PS3 Formula One Video

This isn't a completely new video of the game. I think about half of it is from the video already released at E3. Still looks very good though.

Hold up...how do we know this is realtime again?

Not that it doesn't look feasible, but I don't think we've confirmation.

I don't think there's any hard evidence supporting it yet, except for the notice at the end of the video in which it states "work in progress and something a long the lines that the footage was in-game".

In anycase, after the MGS trailer, I think these are more or less my expectations for a formula one game on a next generation console, emphasis being on immersion rather than just plain graphics.

left clicked instead of right click + save as (not that it really should make any difference)
the server seems quite busy, so you might want to give it few shots

I did that first time :???: , so I try right+ save as this time and I got it now :???:   .

Anyway Thanks .

I got the work-in-progress bit, yeah, but i think the second notice relates to the following demo (and it looks like that was lair - it's the exact same notice that was shown before the lair demo at the playstation meeting).

I agree that it's doable, but I just like to have confirmation of things ;)

I'm a huge F1 fan and for me the cars are poorly modelled from certain perspectives.

Sense of speed is lacking.

This is CG. Not real time. When it says “the following is real timeâ€￾ on that video it was referring to a trailer of Lair that was to follow this re-hashed E3 showing of Studio Liverpool’s current butchering of the exclusive F1 license.

Sony give the license to Polyphony. Give it Polyphony for the love of god!

Regardless of the video's state I think it is fair to say with Sony's record on racing games that the end product will look very, very good. With the rendering quality we are seeing on the PS3 realtime images I see no reasons why car games wont look absolutely beatiful.

Personally I am hoping the keep the tire deformation and hopefully the cars break into a ton of REAL little pieces on the track. Now that would be fun :D (I don't like real car crashes, not even in racing... but in games? Woot!)

Well we would have to see gameplay footage to notice the sense of speed right?

If you watcha replay from GT4 you can immediately feel an almost realistc sense of speed.

The only CG replay from this game that actually catches that same feel is the one looking back from the front right brake duct on the Ferrari.

The other replays look too cartoonish, either speeded up or just plain fake. The scene were Alonso's car smashes up on the exit of of Degna II below the bridge is a direct copy from the same accident he had at Monaco in 2004 - it did not look or feel real though.

oh shit

damn/ive been wating for this...a f1 game..not only that.but online too.i just hope its online..if it is damn kimmi raikonein will rule over yall, ill be playing with him.but anyway the realism in this game is byound normal yall.it rediculous.
