    RTX2070
wanted dlss and rt plus was hearing about people having problems with navi
I'm sure it wasnt the case when i bought it but 2060 super's are now more expensive than 2070's despite lower clocks and less cuda cores
    edit: the 2070's were discounted
edit 2: checking another place prices are similar (the 2070 was slightly more when I bought it)

Dude that's so expensive. Right now in the states you can get a 2060 Super for about 420 USD which is still quite high but way less that what you're seeing

Ta I couldnt see any XMP profile or similar.
In the bios I just turned off auto and choose 1600 as the memory speed, it seems to work perfect now 3200 speed in windows.

One thing Ive done is limited my CPU to 99% rate so basically its 3525 mhz constantly, i.e. does not run any quickly than that, so its quiet as the fans dont kick up to cool down the cpu if it goes to 4200 mhz
Is it possible to limit my nvidia GPU the same way?
I use unreal engine and it runs GPU > 80% for an extremely simple scene, fans start up etc.
ATM I just enable android profile which means the GPU is ~40%, but I would like to enable the sm 5 profile, just run it at a slower FPS

This sounds like the game or that section of the game is running at unlimited framerate.

You can try enabling V-sync in the application or seeing if there's a way to limit framerate.

You can also try limiting the max framerate via the NV control panel.

    https://www.howtogeek.com/509097/how-to-set-a-maximum-frame-rate-in-nvidias-drivers/

However, I don't know if that setting is still in there. I don't see it in the control panel for my 1070. There are 3rd party applications that can also limit frame rate, but I'm not familiar with them.

    Regards,
    SB

It seems to work with unreal engine stuff I do, but not the unity stuff.
Though thats OK unity seems to be a lot less stressful on the GPU

I dunno, I think it's not as bad as it might seem. The UK prices will include 20% VAT, I guess the US prices are without sales tax?

With £1=$1.2 right now (due to political differences between our Government and reality) and 20% tax in UK £420~=$420 seems about right.

True, US prices don't include taxes (which you may or may not have to pay (at time of purchase...) depending on where you live and where you're ordering from).
