New HD PGR3 grabs

ummmm...no..that was the picture that was deleted...

And I still don't understand why it was deleted. I was trying to tie that screenshot in with the conversation. I was just pointing one that the lighting or should I say natural realism look about the same. I wanted to know what is it in those two pics plus alot others that has got everyone saying that its fake or rendered and not in-game.

I still haven't received my answer yet. I really really curious. I think this can answer a few things to everybody in forum world (little do you guys know it but almost every videogame forum reads and quote you guys :)) why they should raise their expectations to when it comes to next-gen gaming.

Spectator mode seems confirmed.

How would they implement this and would it be implemented in such a way as to avoid affecting network performance for the main participants of the race?

IOW, would providing the feed for spectators affect performance for the participants at all?

An interesting possibility would be to let spectators join the game at the start and then be able to see angles that the participants themselves couldn't see. Maybe manipulate cameras in real-time or at least switch cameras to the views of the different participants.

You can do that in SOCOM when you join in the middle of a game or get killed. Or in a game like AOE where you can resign and then see the whole map and scroll all over the place.

More than spectator mode however, I'm interested in multiplayer/multiconsole online games. Sure racing games and shooters will support this but it would be nice to see it in sports games (like NHL Rivals did) or maybe a fighting game where you can have a free-for-all instead of one-on-one duels. Or a multiplayer GTA with every player out for himself (without it becoming another FPS or Halo multiplayer type of game).

it sounds like it should be a fun launch title

If the control is good and the graphics are good i might have to pick it up .

They could have specific servers setup for feeding spectators. Basically get a single feed off of the game server and then stream it off a bulky server specifically used for spectating.

The other option is to limit the number of spectators. Seeing as MS has talked about some big contests people can watch I think having dedicated boxes would be the best for actual game performance.
