New Forza 2 CG Trailer

Che says that they will release screenshot of the game on the internet on the 7th. Apparently there are a couple of magazines hitting the stands this week with screenshots as well. Not pre-rendered screenshots of the trailer, actual in-game screenshots.

I don't know about the middle shot for sure, but if the first and last are fakes someone went through a heck of a lot of trouble to fake them.

In the first shot the HUD information is accurate for Forza. Even the indicators for which aids are turned on are there. They are different than the first game, but it's all the right stuff and in the right place, and in the right general design. It looks like an upgrade.

In the last shot the Ferrari is the 430GT that Forza Motorsports 2 is sponsoring in the American Le Mans Series racing. It even carries the Forza logo on the hood.

exactly ... screens are not really indicative this gen... I don't know what's so hard about releasing HD vids... 30 seconds even for games this Gen?

How is it possible they have a photo of a car with the forza 2 logo on it before the game is out or any advertising has started?
 
Hmm, not too impressive, fingers crossed that it looks alot better in motion from the ingame cam.

Edit - They do look extremely similar to GTR2

The real car has been racing with that logo since May. I've seen it several times on TV.
 
Nonetheless, I'm leaning towards fake. Doesn't make sense, it looks marginally improved over Forza 1, Che who reviewed PGR3 (and gave it a 9/10) stated explicitly this game would look better, and it is supposed to have 4xAA while this seems to have only 2x. Also, the shots are supposed to show up in print magazine before going online.

I hope they're not real, major dissapointment if they are.

without claiming anything about the authenticity of these shots, i can definitely see more than 2xAA in them. unless by "2xAA" you mean "2x2 AA", and by "4xAA" - "4x4 AA", though that'd require way too much tiling and may pose a performance hit.
 
again.... another reason why if I were a dev I would NEVER release screen grabs... it does no justice until you can actually see the Hi-Def in motion. :???:
