New Edge browser has much better memory management than Chrome

  • Tab Groups. We are turning on tab grouping which provides the ability to categorize tabs into user-defined groups and helps you more effectively find, switch and manage tabs across multiple workstreams.

Yeesh, FINALLY. They had this back with Internet Explorer and it went away with the first version of Edge. It's about freaking time it made it back into their browser.

Now bring back the configurable search field in a seperate input field complete with drop down menu to switch what site to search like you had with IE 9. God, it still pisses me off that they got rid of that to make the browser more like Chrome. Which makes me just hate Chrome even more.

Hell, I wish they'd bring back features from the non-Chromium version of Edge that went away when they switched to Chromium.

as of currently my main browser is Vivaldi, but I end up using Edge more, 'cos of msn news -which are superb-, rewards, and 'cos it just runs well.

Noticed recently that I was getting more redirects and popups from some sites that made it almost impossible to navigate in a sane manner. I double checked to see that I had tracking prevention set to "Strict" and noticed a new feature to protect browser from malware. I enabled the feature and set it to "Strict" and found all redirects at those sites no longer occurred. Have had no problems with any site in the "Strict" setting but will now experiment to see if "Balanced" will accomplish similar results.

Currently using Microsoft Edge version 96.0.1054.43.
