My Revolution upgrade fantasy

I don't think HD will be an issue for Nintendo, HDTV won't a standart before the end of this gen (2011-2012, my guess, and with wich resolution 1080p, 720p, others???).
The biggest lake of the REV is HDD and online, for wich interest grows for teenagers and youg adults gamers. Anyway I expect BigN to put out the cleverest archithecture for this gen (ratio raw power/ efficience). It seems that nintendo don't want to narrow the gap between PC games and console games. Example: me, I've no need to upgrade my PC, it is doing pretty well but games are an issue...
I 've a lot of interest this gen for online rpg, fps,(all games in fact my PC is a relic lol). I don't plan buying a HDTV, so a cheap Rev could fit me, but this not seems to fit the Nintendo goals this round.
I almost sure that anyone that love Nintendo game, wil be very happy with the rev.

Online it is a problem on Rev:oops: :???: :?:

It will have it and it will be free.
Can you enlight me please, I can't remenber what Nintendo says in this regard.
But no Hdd (if i'm right) and others clues (focus on the controler, sdtv is a lost cause for surfing, etc...) don't seem to proove that's the main focus for Nintendo, i don't expect something near to MS offer or Sony.
I can be wrong, NIntendo is worst than Sony when it come to NDA ;) , We know almost nothing...
(not aggressive post, i really don't remenber what BigN said).

....this one wouldnt even be in competition with the revolution1, and they could chose which drive format to support, and certainly offer the best 1080p support of the whole bunch.
 Wait....WHAT!

The Revolution's flash memory will allow for the same gaming functionality the Xbox 360's hard drive enables. Which is to say, downloadable games and internal saves. Caching will be extremely limited on the X360, and not ideally suited for the Revolution's flash memory.

Considering how good even GC games can look in hi-def, I wouldn't kick it out of bed.

Eh, doesn't look any better than 480p, most Gamecube games already had exceptionally crisp 480p output.
N64 got a huge boost out of high res though (and true bilinear filtering), and so does Halo PC. Halo 2 looks like it would greatly benefit from high res as well, but I think Gamecube's lack of bump mapping in most games (thus low texture detail), along with most devs focusing on crisper images (and perhaps even sporting a better DAC in its component cables than the xbox uses?) helps it a lot and makes low resolutions much better than other systems, including PCs.
