...Why do you need to know how often you listen to a song?

I can't say I ever missed this feature. Winamp didn't have it, I used it for like, a million years it feels like, can't say I ever needed knowing how often a track has played. What music player even does that? I don't think itunes does either, windows media player didn't I'm fairly certain, back when any people at all even cared about that piece of shit.

Cause say I leave an album halfway through, I like to start again at the song I left off with (yes spotify remembers the most recent tune position) but if my GF gets on the PC and plays her 80s crap, that'll be what comes up next, or if I only listen to X songs on an album and then fancy another album, and then come back to album X again a week later I would like to start on the song I left with and not begin again at the start of the album.

What are you talking about? winamp, windows media player all had play count. Dont know about itunes .
