Microsoft opens XBox Live to the PC platform

Microsoft this week extended the Xbox Live network to the Windows PC platform, as it launched a Windows Vista version of the Halo 2 game.

Microsoft plans in June to launch Shadowrun, which is the first game that will allow Windows gamers and Xbox 360 players to get involved in cross-platform match-ups and play each other online.

Lol, what? Halo 2 launched this week on PC? I had no clue! I find that rather funny.

This has already been covered in the PC games section, where many PC gamers give a "WTF!? We've had this stuff for years..... for free" type reaction.

Funny because it's still free for PC gamers. It only cost if you want to be able to play against people playing on X360s. Cross system play cost, online play between PC's is still free.
