But where is Ridge Racers (PSP) in the list, didn't it sell well.
It's week #2, and the PSP doesn't have enough units out to show their games up in the top 10. Probably 2 or 3 of their prominent titles in the 11-20 slots, though. (PSP and Minna no Golf, and maybe Metal Gear Acid or Dynasty Warriors [perhaps Mojipittan?] which are other popular games to show up on the 16th. I don't know how popular Armored Core is, offhand.)

I've always wondered a bit about how small the performance for some high-profile titles are for new systems. Why does it seem like so many people buy a system (portable or not) and one game, and ride on that for a long time? I'm not even positive right now with the DS or PSP whether software sales are more than hardware sales, which means some people might have gotten the hardware with NO games! Which, I guess for new systems, is a possibility. (Buying simply to turn it around and sell on eBay, or buying a high-demand product to make sure you have it for when the games you DO want eventually come around...) Just seems weird to me.

Ridge Racer for PSP sold 27,000 and was number 20 on the list.

BTW, I've updated my post with some rough software sales that I found that where, apparently, from the same source. So the software list goes up to number 29 now.

So maybe most people buy only one game with launch. BTW what is SC in the hardware list?
Bandai Swan Crystal, maybe? Apparently it had Final Fantasy 1/2, but never 3 (3 was announced for NDS though)

... and DS already surpassed the total sales of GC in Japan. I imagine Iwata can't stop laughing now :D

Sony shipped 100k units around last week, and at that time they were already at +200k, so the numbers sound quite right.

I suspect SM64 DS is easily closing in on a million already between JPN/NA. Mario Party numbers never cease to amaze me........how? :?:

American reviews for the game (MP6) are pretty solid, too. I suspect it'll move at least 500K units over here in the US.

While Metroid Prime 2, a superior game, will probably sputter out somewhere below.. unless it's already passed 500K..

Metroid (Prime) was never a big seller in Japan, sales almost fully depend on the North-American & European markets.
