Okay, what I thought that will never ever happen to me has happened. As soon as it is spilt I cleaned it, turned it over, and I left it dry for 2 days. Upon restart the laptop works but the problem is the keyboard where non of any key will work!

Is there any hope of resuscitating this keyboard otherwise I will have to use USB keyboard and I will never be able to take this laptop anywhere else

Price premium? Not really, most laptop keyboards are pretty stinkin' cheap unless you've got something uber-fancy.

Last I heard, they were more than $100. But that was a long time ago, so yeah it's very plausible that I'm wrong.

Depends on the brand and the vendor.

Impact computers has most laptop keyboards but can get somewhat spendy. Otherwise it's Ebay.

I just chose to open up the laptop (which voids warranty), killed off circuit for keyboard as it was continually pressing random keys at any time.

Then bought USB keyboard and everything back to normal.
