Johnny Awesome: opinion of Voodoo Vince?

Most reviewers think it's a decent, but not great, platformer. And definitely better than Blinx. I'm amazed Gamespot gave it a 78/100.
Looks like even Microsoft knew it wouldn't be great, it's selling for $39.99.

I haven't played it yet. I figure it's only worth about $20 given the huge number of good games coming out in the next couple months. I'll pick it up later. For the record, I liked BLiNX and would score it 8/10.

from what i´ve read, it has lots of humor and great jazzy music, voices, and ambientation, pretty graphics, it has some good puzzles ( and the character looks very funny). The bad is that it seems to be not very long.

For 40$ i would get it, but in my country surely will cost 60 euros so i think i´ll wait a bit ( i´m getting ghoulies first )

I've played the demo on the October OXM disk. It's very funny. I love the concept behind it. Compared to the Blinx demo I played I liked it much better. Not sure I would buy it because I'm not really into platformers. However, I would probably rent it since I figured my kids would like it too. BTW, I laugh every time I see the chainsaw come out.
