Is It Me Or Did I just Hit a Big COD2 Bug

I was playing through the game on veteran, I Just finished the level that the demo featured and all of a sudden when I go to next mission it start me from the "Red Army Training Mission" with the rest of the Russian Missions Locked (Even though I beat them all last night)

All I can Ask is What gives?

*EDITS EDIT* The mission I did is still unlocked but they didnt unlock the next section but instead the section after the next section.

I don't think it's a bug it did that on pc(haven't played the 360 version) aswell I think the missions jump around some but the are in order of country in the mission select menu

But why in the blue hell would it lock the missions that I have already done forcing me to do them again, that sounds like a cheap ass way to extend the playtime of your game.

Saving BUG Call of Duty 2 XBOX 360

Unfortunately, there is a saving bug for COD2 on the XBOX 360 . Activision have admitted that there is a bug and is working with Microsoft to provide a patch that would fix this problem. In the mean time, they release a code to unlock all levels, a sort of work around. The code is:
In the Mission Select screen: Hold the R and L shoulder button, and press on the D-pad - left,left,right,right,Y,Y.

Strange, I was able to go back and choose levels and beat it myself after my brother had beaten it. Do they all come unlocked once the game is beaten?

Funny that you mention that, because now after just cutting the game back on, all of my mission have be reset.

At least the save bug can be worked around with a simple cheat code. There is no easy fix for the the crappy Live interface that doesn't even let you create your own server and gives the server to people without nearly enough bandwidth to handle it.

I hate cheating, cmon Infinity Ward, this is saving....Saving..... WTH :|

It isn't cheating as long as you just play though the missions would have unlocked if the game was working properly for you.

As for a patch, I'm wondering if MS is even going to allow patching games. I doub't they want people who bought core systems to come out feeling screwed by the deal, so at this point I don't see much hope for patchs on the 360.

This happened to me too. I just beat DDay on Veteran and then I was like...hmmm another Russian mission....then I realized I was back at level one. The most angering thing is that after you use the unlocking code to beat the game the levels you beat before are still locked and if you want to get your achievements for Winning the War and War Hardened, who have to beat them all over again. I bought a Mem Card for back up after this happened to me.

I sold my memory card after they returned our 360 with a harddrive, after it had hardware failure.
