I have not been following this but saw some gameplay and it looks like a large leap in terms of fighting game presentation. A lot of gameplay out there.
He says it because MK9 became a PS Plus freebie at some point. Counting against it though is the DC licence might hold it back from that.
Anyway, after seeing MKX I had a sudden urge to play this game so I bought it on PS4 yesterday (graphics are meh, mind you, just an upscaled version basically) and finished the main campaign today (playing MK9 was good training). It was very entertaining, but the changes in having different playing versions of the same characters sound like a good change, and the graphics could really still be quite a bit better. As they stay on that same heavily customised UE3 engine though, I am not holding my breath, but it will easily be better than it is right now. but Killer Instinct like visual effects would have been awesome to see at least, and a lot better lighting and shadow effects too.
