Actually, wether it's a fact or not, we don't know what's going on, so if the issue continues and CoD3 on the PS3 is a failure, it is also a possibility that the computer (PS3 is a computer ) has a faulty processor, memory bus, etc.
As it stands now, the game is a failure because it cannot be played in all its glory, and there's no excuse for that.
I am not joking, on paper PS3 is a competent gaming machine, and it is able to run CoD3 at 60 fps. I don't like to repeat things I've already said (thrice?).uhh...what?
In that case, I think you are blaming the wrong person then.
I'm not sure if you are serious or joking actually.

Did CoD2 have AA on Xbox 360?

No, CoD 2 on Xbox 360 does have no HDR, no AA, no AF and is not running at 60fps (VSync off with heavy tearing and framerate drops, 60fps are reached, but only when absolutely no action is going on, e.g. when you look at the skybox otherwise the framerate is extremly unsteady).
Smells like flamebait
Sounds like a newer build than the one Mattcassamasina (did I spell that right? ) played, although again the final game will be the final telling. The game sure did look good, though. It didn't look qualitatively better than the Xbox 360 version we've spent a lot of time with, though we noted the frame rate was consistent throughout our entire demo. That's because the many cores of the PS3's Cell processor are handling different parts of the game discretely, which apparently gives the developers more breathing room to implement various visual and aural effects without worrying about dragging down the frame rate too much.
Call of Duty 3 seems to be shaping up nicely on every platform, so diehard fans of this popular World War II series will serve themselves well to check it out on their console platform of choice. The PlayStation 3 version in particular is currently slated to hit shelves on the system's launch date, November 17th, so stay tuned for a full review.
