Well let me just tell you so far the drivers are stable , there is just one bug with scrolling in mozilla , diablo 2 is running at 640x480 6fsaa and 16aniso with no stuttering I'm going to download quake 3 demo , is there anything else you want me to test and or take pics of just let me know and give me a download link.

Diablo2 is a mostly a 2D game. Anisotropic filtering and 6xFSAA make little difference for it, since all it is doing is blitting 2D sprites to the screen.

Try doing a 3DMark2001SE 330 Patch @ Defaul settings .

Well there are enhanced effects in diablo2 using glide and direct3d, if you have the hardware.

Oh .... somebody gave me another ideea : do a NWO test @ 640 to 1600 resolutions and then with 4xAA .

What's your system specs ?

Yeah, I haven't heard much about NWO, mainly I don't even have the hardware to run CS acceptably. I'd like to see a few screens and a few benches (if it has a benchmarking feature).

I have been trying real hard to find a reseller in australia, but can't find the 9700 anywhere. If I find a good price, and enough people down under are interested, I will sell them for zero profit to board memebers.

Back on topic. Any one tried GP4? What sort of frame rates you get with the 9700?

I think of more importance than screenshots would be to keep installing different games, looking for any driver or rendering issues.

Maybe you can upload the driver that came with the card. Would be interesting to see if its still a normal "unified" catalyst and if it works fine with other cards (for example with a 8500).
Also, if you find a dx9beta, dx9 drivers and a dx9capsviewer the output could be interesting (ok, just dreaming)

The driver that comes with R9700pro is a "unique" driver that only works with R9700pro.

It has been noted in reviews and when the card was announced.

Hm, I thought the just use a new rewritten D3D-Driver-file (the ati3duag.dll, the 8x line uses the ait3d2ag.dll ), the 2D files are the same, and all come in the catalyst package.
So there should be a good chance to run the driver (maybe with some .inf file hacking), and the next driver should be unified.
