HEY!ROFL re: that picture!
Remind me to never let you fix a thing!
I couldn't find mine after a rather extensive 5 minute search so I grabbed the nearest tool at hand that looked like it could give me access.A blowtorch would have made a more elegant cut into that case...
Good point, I was gonna let the kids tape it up...better not.(And please, when you do tape it up, just don't tape up all the vents!)
OMG!
The meaning of the word "hack" has reached a new level!
My kids are very grateful, and I also. Thank you again.
You kidding? With a screwdriver it would take FOREVER to scratch thru that casing!am i mistaken in thinking that you can take apart the entire shell with a screw driver and about 5 minutes of time?
VICTORY IS MINE!!!!
Sorry it's blurry, but my son kept joggling my elbow trying to get me to hurry up and give it back to him since I fixed it.
Thanks again Hupfinsgack, that was just the ticket I needed. I couldn't reach the wires to splice them with my fat fingers, I couldn't get the unit opened up because I couldn't find my star drivers, so I just used my channel locks to chew open that corner of the case until I could reach me pudgy fingers in there and stick a little jumper into the connector that I stole off an old piece of scrap hardware.
My kids are very grateful, and I also. Thank you again.
Not with a "normal" screwdriver, no. Nintendo equipment uses custom screws, and you need a special driver to loosen them.am i mistaken in thinking that you can take apart the entire shell with a screw driver and about 5 minutes of time?
Why thanks for thatYou kidding? With a screwdriver it would take FOREVER to scratch thru that casing!
