Help me with choosing the right graphics card

I'm currently looking for a reasonably cheap graphics card to use in my planned divx/dvd/gaming pc based on an Athlon 1200.
I'm going to run it off my 32" widescreen tv with cordless keyboard and mouse.

Basicly what I'm looking for is good dvd playback, good antialiasing and the option to run in widescreen resolution (848x480 ?).

I've been looking at a Radeon 7500 or a Kyro 2 so far, but I'd like some more input before making my decision.

For nice TV output an ATi card is generally a safe bet, not sure about Kyro's, if you're going for a nVidia card or third party ATi card you better check first if quality is good enough for that particular brand.

The Kyro2SE cards from both Hercules and Videologic have a new TV output chip from Focus, about which STMicro seemed very proud.

For DVD playback on Kyro 2, the consensus seems to be that it's not quite as good as ATi, but not far off, and better than NVidia.

I suppose if you want to judge the image quality on these, you'd have to go to an understanding shop, and have them show you.
