A lot of those games would have been totally different as TPSs because of how the cover mechanics work. Uncharted is a good example also because of all the platforming.

- Halo Nemesis is not the real Halo 4
- remake rumors are true: Nemesis is a mix between remake of halo:ce and events in johns past (flashbacks)
- the actual build was shown in germany at closed doors
- nemesis will be released on xblm in mid 11
- you will play john-117 (masterchief)
- you can switch into 3rd person mode (just like in bungies theatre mode)
- acutal demo contains three level, one of them is an unfinished version of silent cartographer
- in the acutal demo youre always wearing an old armor from johns past
- did a developer ever stated leaks as true?
There isn't a single TPS ever made that wouldn't have been better in FPS view, IMO. I'm sure many will disagree with this game or that. But IMO, every single one of them would be better as an FPS.
I hope to all that is precious and good in the universe that the next Halo is still a first person shooter.
Gears of war will turn into Unreal tournament if you make it an FPS, but then you lose the CQC combat, the maneuverability you get from pulling off tricks like slide cancel, wall bouncing etc etc...one look at how a high level multiplayer match works will tell you that with these mechanics Gears is FAR better as a TPS. I'll say the same for Uncharted, Red Dead Redemption and Hitman. I can't even imagine playing these games in first person view (maybe Hitman as it did have a switchable first person view..which tbh sucked ass). On the other hand Red Dead will play out as recent Call of Juarez if its turned into a first person game and tbh that doesn't exactly sounds appealing when compared to how Red Dead is right now.Out of all of those the only one that "might" be better as a TPS is Tomb Raider. All the rest would have been far far better as an FPS, IMO. And maybe Splinter Cell. Haven't played Crackdown but always got the impression it wasn't a shooter but more of a platformer. Sort of like Tomb Raider is almost more platformer than Shooter, especially the newest one.
ME especially annoyed the ever living hell out of me with the over the shoulder perspective, but it's forgiveable as the first one was an RPG. Not so forgivable for the second one. As well the Gears series could have been far better in first person, IMO.

IIRC Hell's Highway is the only BIA game to have a cover system...& the FPS game/TPS while in cover was something directly borrowed from Rainbow Six Vegas. Not sure if she worked on it, but yeah the Brothers in Arms series was one of the first games to have a working cover mechanic which later TPS games, borrowed from.
Gears of War, which as we already know...was the game that made cover system a mainstream gameplay mechanic.
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2010-12-01-ms-responds-to-halo-1-hd-remake-rumour"Right now our focus is on supporting Halo: Reach," a Microsoft spokesperson told Eurogamer this morning. "We have nothing to announce at this time."
Someone is really putting effort into this fake screens if they are fake?
Spartan looks kinda retarded who leans so much to the front unless gun has epic kick back.
Is there a rumor thread just saw some picture on gaf with banjo kinect and perfect dark 2 kinect

Let the Halo CE remake stuff continue.

That seems like a clear non confirmation confirmation type thing, the only fly in the ointment is Phil Spencers previous comments (he basically downplayed the idea).
I'd rather have a true Halo 4 instead of a Halo CE remake anytime. Bad thing is they're probably holding off Halo 4 for next gen. So a remake as a stop-gap seems plausible.
