Nintendo was trying to be Atari about 10 years later. Remember the Atari Video Computer System? Or VCS???

and look at the cycle . Atari names thier system video computer system and is later bankrupt . Nintendo names thier console nintendo entertainment system and are no in a very bad situation. Sony name thier console playstation 2 computer entertainment system .... where will they be in another system or 2 ???

(btw i'm just playing around but its funny to see the similartys that have happened in the past.

I hope Sony fails, because one more dominant generation and there could be trouble in the industry. I mean, I love Nintendo and all.. but if they got totally dominant (again) with the N64 things might not be so good. Same goes for anything, really.

I don't give a damn about GTA3, got bored of it after only a few hours on the PC version, seemed good at first until you relise it's alot of adverage game styles bundled into one. I won't be touching it when it comes out.

Sony is majority, but not dominant. See NES/Master System marketshare for an example of dominant

I have it on good authority that the developers at Rockstar North are not on a royalty deal and just have a salary/bonus package. Their key requirement is freedom to create the games they want, not financial reward.

thats lame.... i mean, call me a cold hearted bitch, but if i were involved in the making of the most successful, best selling titles of the current generation and then some, i wouldnt be satisfied with "personal experience reward". i'd want the money
