Going to buy a new laptop, help me!

I need to buy a new laptop, and not really following that marked i don't know which is the best right now.

I need a portable notebook, not a desktop replacement. I'd rather go with a smaller widescreen, something like 14'' not bigger then that.

So far I've found that the Toshiba M50 suits my needs, the only bad part is that I've read around the net that it has some heat issues and the battery won't last more than two hours if using the wireless lan. (maybe the one with the celeron m and the 910 chipset has a longer battery life, but i cannot find any information on that)

Could any of you suggest me a nice notebook around those specifications with a longer battery life?

I'm willing to spend around 1000€ - 1100€ without vat. :smile:

I strongly suggest you go to NotebookForums. They're very good at helping people with all situations for these types of things.

I would avoid Celerons of any type in laptops, they don't have any sort of speed step functionality.
