From those talented guys and girls over at Studio Cambridge. I've got to say I'm pretty damn impressed with it. It's up there with Silent Hill 3, If not better looking what are your opinions on the screens?

It's for PS2. Made by Sony's Studio Cambridge (people who made Primal)

I don't know if effects in those screens aren't 'enhanced' in 3D Studio and such, but if the screens are display of what the engine can do, it's pretty damn impressive. Per pixel lighting, and even the glow from the flashlight is what SH3 is missing and this has, but the shadows and character models don't look as good.

To me the main character model looks a little on the goofy side... either the stance is off or he's disproportional, maybe both. Technically, looks good, albeit the art direction is a little too much in the direction of the general style of Xbox games (heavy on technical, low on artistic)...Silent Hill 3 still looks better.

Yeah, the guy's arms are too short, for starters. The art is amateurish.

HA! After seeing Super-Troopers - this takes on a whole new level of humor. God I love that movie.

You know, I haven't picked up this type of game in a long time. I like the way the game looks, and I'll be sure to follow this one and see if it's worth of a purchase. I was going to pick up Silent Hill 3 but never got around to it, is it a game worthy of a purchase? I've had bad experiences with Resident Evil and am kind of fearful of returning to the survival horror genre.

technically looks good for a ps2 game, but comparing it to silent hill 3 is a little too much..... nothing will tough SH3 for a loooong time at least on PS2...

I'm sure there are others that will agree with my opinion. I think it's looks too generic end of story..maybe you should leave this thread alone if you can't accept others opinion
