Gear of War: Ultimate (remaster) [XO]

Re-writing the scripts in UE4 would take time indeed, and UE4 is still not proven in its performance on current gen consoles (Vanishing of Ethan Carter is the only one I can think of and it doesn't have too much going on). UE3 seems like the safe bet.
 
Seems they also kept the forward renderer:

"Having the forward renderer meant we could achieve a high level of density in multiplayer levels," Matthews says, "because you’re only paying for what you’re forward rendering. One of the things we made an artistic choice on was to bring vegetation back to that. Comparing the original Mausoleum level to where it is now — there are questions as to whether we’d have been able to do that if we’d used a deferred renderer. It allowed us to push things further using this engine."

Gotta wonder how the campaign runs without the 30fps cap.
