Yeah, that was crazy. Crazier still—shocking, really—is the father (and owner of the track...) bumrushed the kid after his son was pulled off of him. That I might press charges for.

I was surprised how well-spoken and contrite the driver was in his written apology (in which he said he’d quit motorsport, but the FIA had still better lay down the law). Someone mentioned a similar moment of madness in Moto2 where Fenati pulled someone else’s handbrake on track. That guy’s apology was also well written. Dunno if that’s an Italian thing or if they both use the same PR firm.
