Forcing AA and AF Levels

Is it possible to force AA and AF levels via command line? In the same manner that a 16bit game such as Half Life can be forced to 32bit color in the shortcut with hl.exe -32bpp.

I'd rather do that in games that do not have AA/AF options than force AA/AF in the control panel for every single game.

You could try aTuner which allows to launch games with profiles, via both GUI and command line.

Sorry, I should have stated I use a Radeon 9800 Pro. aTuner is only for Nvidia cards.

I suppose I'm looking for a universal solution instead of a 3rd party program. I'd simply like to edit my shortcuts to do this, if possible.

You can only do it without a 3rd party program and through a command line switch only if the application supports that. I don't know of one that does...programs use configuration files for this, if they support setting these at all and there isn't an ingame method for handling it.

Something that might be pretty close to what you're looking for is RadLinker, which lets you make custom shortcuts that launch programs while setting the driver settings you specify. Handles overclocking too, I believe.

Nice. It's not pure command line stuff, but it'll do. Thanks Demalion. :)
