Folding@Home PS3 Client?

I remember this being announced in September, but is it actually available for download?

According to their press release, each PS3 is capable of something like 100GFLOPS in it. I wouldn't mind donating some electricity to run it while I'm not at home, but I can't find it anywhere.

Yeah, it's not been released yet... hopefully the March firmware update will come with associated announcements regarding apps like this. I'm in the same boat you are.

Last I read about the situation (from the folding@home team) was that they (and Sony) were waiting for the March update to do stuff (it sounded like they needed something from the march update for it to work practically -- multitasking?), so we should hear about it around the march update. I wouldn't necessarily expect it released on the same day, but I expect it'll be around there (or at least we'll hear some update).

It will be either multitasking or some kind of screensaver option, I'm guessing.

Anyway, it makes sense to do it around the European launch ... Maybe we'll hear something about it at GDC.
