Hey guys, my team and i really want your feedback on this subject. Basacially, we want to know if you guys feel that Microsoft has really stepped it up and really is taking this and that from Sony, like the recent Forza, Halo 2, Jade Empire, stealing Exlcusive games and developers and the press and gamers more interested in Xbox, the next xbox, and their games respectively instead of consumers going out and buying a PSP or PS2 and games like God of War, or GT4

Nirey do you work for Sony really, or do you not? What do you think about it all? Listen - we're all expecting something pretty kick-ass from Sony out of E3, so just deliver the goods! If PS3 shows to be awesome, I guarantee none of this will matter in the long run. If not, then yes this is Microsoft beginning to steal a march.

As for the press, American press is obsessed with American companies, and a lot of reporters, if they have kids, probably have kids of gaming age that are into XBox. Hype begets hype. Sony would do well for itself to be ready to turn on the afterburners at some point before the 360's launch. As for the PSP, GT4, and God of War, I was under the impression that they were selling well.

Yes, they have stepped up MAJORLY.

Yes, you can do something about it.

Yes, the next Xbox is garnering press attention not to mention developers' attention thatnks to a very wlel put SDK and a little fact... PEOPLE HAVE SPECS!!!!! Will you guys explore the GPU thing before or after launch with developers that are not called EA ?

No, PSP, PSTwo, GoW, GT4, Shadow of the Colossus, etc... are GREAT products and will do very well in the marketplace even because they are also well marketed (did I say that they are well done already ;) ?

No, you are not doomed... you start from a great PlayStation history and your platforms have carried tons of big games: our brand is still very powerful. Work hard and work well.

:lol

Sorry, I have a lot of bitching that I ahve held repressed for a long time :).

Vysez: Feedback about joke characters

Hey dude, me and myself really want to know, who you are, who's your team exactly?
:?:

MS isn't capable of stealing any show given the current market. Nintendo will continue to be the darling of many (the gaming press at the very least). And Sony just has too much weight to be outdone in one generation.

Basically, everybody would have to suddenly suck besides MS for them to steal the limelight. Right now they're just borrowing it for a few days at a time. I don't foresee that being able to change till PS4.

Heck, I'd love to be wrong here.

I'm going to go further than my last post Nirey and say that of all the posts of yours I've seen here at Beyond3D, half of them were in relation to getting a CS project done for your cousin.

It's almost inconceivable to me that someone with any sort of influence at Sony would be posting a question like this on a message board, because it implies total lack of direction. But I'm willing to believe you; you just have to provide us with something to make us 'believe.'

Here's the thing right now that is troubling us. We are really not sure why Microsoft garners more Press attention at E3 or their Pre-E3 conference than ours and are beginning to see a trend in many forums and gaming press wether print or online that Microsoft has really delivered and "this is a must buy." With that in mind, this also is somehow indirectly connected to games developers wanting to develop for us less in terms of exclusives compared to their system. As a result, we don't know what to show or not to show yet at our Pre-E3 conference and on the show floor to change the tide(momentum) back in our direction and hopefully do to Microsoft what we did to DreamCast. ;)

Mainly interested in technological aspects, so hearing something exciting like a tile-based display list rendering system would generate some interest among enthusiasts.

Amen.

99.99% Developers in this industry decide nada, publishers do "offer" exclusives. (Offer reads as propose and discuss exclusivity deals, not as offer for free, of course)

This got to be a joke... If you're really working for SCEA marketing division... Sony are in deep trouble right now....

I'm with you Vysez, this is ridiculous.

Christ - it'd be nice if MS had enough press positions to go around at their event!

I'm still trying to get to the Sony event - any clues how?

Dave you seem awfully intrigued by the PS3 and it's GPU lately - any reasons in particular why? ;)

Go back and check the media coverage; the Dreamcast stole the show at E3 when the PS2 was demonstrated in 2000. Obviously, E3 doesn't make much difference to the general public.

And all the things that MS is doing can be thrown away if in the E3 PS3 is clearly a more superior hardware platform in technical capabilities.

You guys took this way out of Context, we have a lot things to show, but we don't know yet which ones we should show and what ones we should keep to our chest until Microsoft reveals more. Hence, our presentation at last years E3 was said to be Dull and boring with too much talk and stats compared to Microsoft's.

The E3 event at Sony Studios?

Did you contact SCEE for invitations?
But it might be too late now, since people already received their invitations.

Maybe he's an intern holding someones cigar

After reading through what he wrote I doubt he works directly with the PS3 or even SCEA at that.

Heh, I highly doubt that Sony is getting hurt to bad, they just had some of the best games in the PS2 life span released. In fall we had MGS3, GTA SA and so far this year we have gotten GT4, GOW, DMC3, Tekken 5. As far as Halo and Forza are concerned, I do agree that Forza is a good game, but I Polyphony could only do so much with this gen hardware that they wanted on thier GT games, I think we will be amazed next gen. Halo has not impressed me, same old fps style nothing revolutinary, im waiting for PDZ. As far as PSP sales are going, they seem to be rather well for the price its at.

All Sony Computer Entertaiment, be it Japan, Europe or America, presentations have always been dull and really market datas centered(The infamous Powerpoint presentations).
Actually, one could argue that last year E3 presnetation, because of the PSP, was quite "dynamic" compared to their other shows.

Is this a joke?
Talking like that in a public forum having claimed to be a Sony employee?
Also what is the sense of asking such questions in a forum like this which is clearly tech oriented?
I smell trolling
