Some interesting features..

Adding to the realism of the Formula One 06 experience, at least as far as Studio Liverpool's plans for the game are concerned, will be an option to download real-life race weekend information as and when it happens. You'll be able to compare your practise and qualification times to those of real drivers, for example, and then you'll be able to start the race proper on the same grid and in the same weather conditions as the guys doing it for real. Other features planned for the game include parade laps, realistic damage, changing weather conditions, CPU drivers having accidents as a result of you applying pressure, and safety cars coming into play after serious incidents.

22 player online races confirmed, possibly with PS2 and PSP players also..

that sounds close to my suspictions of what sony ment by 4d gaming. has anyone seen this in the flesh so to speak. i know that the reflections in the paint looked good in a vid i saw but still not close the last years E3 vid in which paint really looked like paint in a way i hadn't seen in a game before.

Unfair angle, but I still think that GT4 had higher poly's and better texture definition then this. It's really aweful.

excuse me but the game is dark as hell, its like night driving with a blues skye pasted in the background. I dont get it.

Very weak. Not even scratching the surface of what other developers showed at E3. It could have been better. But the effirt is not there obviously

If you look at the video, it's not as bad as the screenshots. But still you can tell that they have a lot of programming to do.

Americans don't care about F1, but they might after seeing this gorgeous-looking racer for the PS3.

I am still not liking it. The colours are bland and washed-out and the cars are far too shiny. It looks like the comic version of formula one racing.

That looks insane. This is leagues better than that pre-rendered E3 trailer from 2005, which I personally thought sucked hardcore, the cars looked like clay toys. The lighting, the way the cars behave on the track and the sense of speed (motion blur oh how I love thee) is much much better.

Seriously, first F1 game for me since F1 '97 by Psygnosis and Bizarre Creations back on the PS1.

22 online multiplayer.....ode to joy. Michael's last season, and finally a great F1 game. Perfect.
