Euro 360 'event' next month

Microsoft has announced Xtival 07, a European-only online event taking place next month.

From November 23 to 26, Gold memberships will be free to everyone with a broadband connection who connects to Xbox Live and signs in.

Microsoft promises a line-up of events, competitions, and exclusive downloads to be announced soon on Xbox.com. The company is also promising "headline acts" for existing Xbox Live Gold members.

Another reason to get my 360 repaired or buy a new one (sorry, I swear I've posted about me breaking my 360 in lots of threads - I promise this is the last time).

Yeah 3 days of free Gold membership will definetely make me get a 360.

I suppose it's useful for Europe, where maybe less people got a Gold membership vs the US (and there not all of them got one either). It's just a big promotion for Live Gold among its install base, basically, as well as send out a message to potential 360 owners that even with Silver you get some nice stuff. Not that I'm buying it, but then I also already have Gold (had Live since ... pfff ... long! 4 years? 5?)
