Endorphin natural motion in real time?

We are saying the same thing semantically different. I should have been more clear, the videos on the NM website, have been there since we first heard about it, hence the "if you have seen them before...". The videos that IGN saw, were/are closed door.

Oh okay. I hope they show them or at least something comparable at E3.

I'll just mention that the vids in that article are the Natural Motion vids and not any in-game vids as I was expecting, so if you've checked out everything Natural Motion prior to this, there's nothing really to see at the IGN article.

If it hasn't already been done, all that it would take to use this technology in games beyond cut scenes or cut simulations is to get the games console's CPU to do what the graphics artist is doing to put the animations and simulations together from a set of library objects library in a responsive manner, on the fly - ie. updating positions and grab points, changing behaviours etc. dynamically in response to what is happening in the game. Come to think of it, it should be damn easy.

And they told me it wasn't going to happen.
ummmm.... I told you in post #12 in this thread about a week ago that it was going to happen. ;)

LucasArts is one of only two game developers given early access to the Euphoria engine.
now to find out who is #2 :D

LucasArts will demonstrate Euphoria in action when it debuts its next-generation Indiana Jones game on May 10-12 at the E3 Expo in Los Angeles.
 :D

Well, I'm talking about alot of other people on the internets. By the description of the IGN article they said that they couldn't see it being possible.

well that's just silly. :p (that they would think that)

This is great, hopefully EA is the other company. It's sports games really need this IMO to take them to the next lv. Can't wait to see the E3 vides of this in action in a real game setting. :)

I hope so too

I think EA is showing a new Madden physics engine (may be proprietary) and from a source close to the Madden team, I have heard that it will not be implemented in this year's version.

As for the IJ E3 demo... I'm hoping to download it off of Xbox Live and play it.

or at least veiw the demo trailer.

How much do you guys love me? Not nearly as much as I am loving Euphoria in action!

The wood was very cool too. Looks absolutely outstanding. Now to re-begin my death threats to EA/Tiberion about Madden's poor animation.

It really looks good. They are able to do some amazing stuff with it. I'm curious about the application in sports games specifically...
