A source on it being prerendered would be nice.

I know someone who worked on it. And also common sense... A game trailer made by ILM, Lucas Films Animation & Lucas Arts "running" on UE3 released 6 years ago looks better than 99% of the games released since then... PC included. The team was folded and "became" ILMxLabs (and continued to develop its on UE branch which was the one used to render that one Droid shot in Rogue One et also used for the Star Wars Reflections DXR demo) & some went to Epic Games.

30 Minutes gameplay of Star Wars Fallen Order:

Some things look crazy good but the skin shader is atrocious . EDIT: better than the E3 build. Facial animations are also slightly improved

The pre-Disney movies didn't shy away from dismemberment or disfiguration. They just didn't have blood and gore.
