DX9 Beta 1 available

Just to throw this out...

The emails have gone out, and Microsoft has made DX9 Beta 1 SDK available to those...well, you know who you are

So, that should lay to rest the uncertainty as to when the Beta would officially kick off.

There's no mention of any feature (or anything else for that matter) concerning DX9...only that it's available for download, and where to go for support (NNTP/etc).

Hmmm... Would anyone who is enrolled in the DX9 beta-program care to elaborate a bit on the features (e.g. PS 2.0)? Or would that be breaking a NDA?

Be sure to set a system retore point as described in that link. You can uninstall DX9 that way. I'm going to install DX9 now.
