Dream console game setting...

I'm not sure how this will be received, here but I was recently induced to think about something that doesn't exist on consoles really. A good Warhammer 40k or even Warhammer Fantasy game.

Which brought me to think. If you could tell any company (doesn't matter what company and that isn't important anyway) to make any game using any setting/universe from any book, movie, TV show, RPG, legend, mythology, whatever... What would it be?

Myself as you can notice above would be something set in the Warhammer 40k universe and with story and atmosphere inline with the setting. It's always been something that fascinated me after playing Space Hulk on PC in the early 90's. Prior to that I was predominantly a Warhammer Fantasy fan.

Even more I'd love to see a well done Warhammer 40k tactical shooter. Ah how I dream of such a possibility.

Regards,
SB

Got your eye on W40K Space Marine? :) They haven't shown too much of the game though.

I'd like an actual Shadowrun RPG game......... been too long. :(

Well, Starcraft 2…
Maybe with Natal and PSMotion, this can be possible… I hope! ;)

And also Warhammer games, I'm a old player of Warhammer RPG, around a table with friends and dices ! :)

I want to play a game where you are a monkey that cuts wheels out of logs of wood, and attaches them to carts. It isn't a cartoon, it's hyper realistic. And the monkey sighs each time he/she fastens a wheel to a cart.

Uncharted but with Firefly settings. That would be awesome. And with the same cast as the show of course (Mal Reynolds wouldn't be the same without Nathan Fillion's acting).

Me, what I want is essentially Battlecruiser 3k, except better and with more combat. Oh, and you're the Incredible Hulk.

I want a new Shadowrun RPG game, but I want it to be a Paperboy hybrid. You ride your bike, and deliver papers in the world of Shadowrun, avoiding gangs, magic and dragons as you do your deliveries. You have access to magic and cybernetics as you level up to improve your paper delivery skills. There would also be dialog trees to add drama.

I enjoyed the pseudo-random runs and street encounters that the Genesis game had. :) But maybe that's just nostalgia... I eventually amassed 2 billion nuyen... (not emulator)

edit: package runs... ghoul hunting... escorting... package retrieval or personnel extraction. The story might have been whack, but loved the accessibility of the gameplay.

Just want a simple dogs vs cats game. For DLC they could do Unicorn's vs Narwahl's. It'll probably sell more copies than the number of consoles out there to play it on. Yeah, it'd be that big!

Make it 2050, get your inspirations from Mike Stackpole, and you wouldn't be able to image how happy I would be.

Hell, someone should get Mike to write another game. The man has an asteroid named after him, what more do you want? ;)

Mike Stackpole ( both his Shadowrun and Battletech material).

Never played the genesis version, am i correct in thinking it was a totaly different game to the SNES version? Interesting thing i noticed when playing the snes one again a while ago is that they trademarked the "Matrix" which was a virtual world inside the game you could jack into using a plug in your head... sounds familiar ;) Was awsome when you first go to the dodgy street doc to get your datajack activated and he ends up starting the countdown to a time bomb in your head! Not only do you have to get it removed but you have a realtime countdown ticking in which to do it. Think ive just pursuaded myself to play it agen... after Secret of Mana anyhow

A game about a girl who goes on a mission to save the world and her man, only you don't know shes a girl until the last scene where she finally comes face with her man and to save the world she has to shoot him. :D

I just want some of those old games that blizzard never released. You guys know what I'm talking about the ones they had in the demos section of old games like warcraft2. The ones that had big long descriptions, the settings all laid out and even videos and release dates. But then nothing ever happened with them; like Shattered Nations and Pax Imperia 2. I've wanted to play those two games since I first saw them when I was like 8.

Hell even games like Starcraft Ghost looked freaken cool. How long has that been in development and never officially canceled.

I remember wanting a Double Dragon type of game with Street Fighter II characters. How sweet that would be!
Also a PC version of a new Contra game, because I don't own a PS2.

I'd actually love a game based on the old Rolemaster Shadow World setting. Probably better suited to PC gaming though, RPG and MMORPG.
