DOA4 screens

Get it? This is supposed to be about a Xbox360 game, however he also mentions Xbox, wich means that they are denying that this is DOa4 for the Xbox 360 BUT they arent denying that it is a game for the Xbox. I bet that if you go ahead and ask them if this is from a new xbox game.....they will just simply answer "No comments".

One of the screen shots says in big letters, "Congradulations on the Xenon Launch" or something like that. So there is a Xbox 360 connection. The question is how.

jvd very well could be correct. I expect some current gen games to be ported to the Xbox 360 with only minor updates. This could be one of them.

Btw I don't wnat you guys to think that i think its bad that they would do this .

All it will do is flesh out the launch line up or the months following it . It wont be a stellar looking game but as long as it plays well it should still be fun .

I guess an example would be tekken tag on the ps2 or whatever the tekken was at launch

I think those shots look damn good, about on par with ps1 CGI rendering. They seem to be right in line with next gen gfx.

Xbox? DOA4?

I don't know if anyone has pointed it out yet or not, but these are definitely Xbox screens.

Edit: I should have said "definitely not Xbox 360 screens".

Filtered, perspective corrected textures, 3D modelled backgrounds. I think that's an emulation of the arcade version of Tekken 3.

Says me.

They don't look much nicer than the previous DOA games, and I can clearly spot current gen trappings like polygonal hands, clothes, etc + simplistic geometry overall, and very few advanced surface effects.

Or there is the other possiblity that the Xbox 360 is weak as piss and Team Ninja sucks at coding.

Which do you think is more likely? ;)

Wasnt the point of XNA to make porting easier? DOA4 may ship on xbox1 and Xenon at the same time but I suspect these are xenon shots from the texture detail and size of the environments.

Says who? I'd like to believe this..

Those are developer kit screens... Not Xbox, not Xbox 360, you could compare it with an early prototype. Xbox couldn't possibly run this, Xbox 360 could, but the kits weren't out back then.

Again, these are shots from testing leveldesign and gameplay with old high resolution character models... Later on production was started on real development kits, and they made new models, adjusted these enviroments, gameplay,...

Evil_Cloud, not that I doubt that... but where did you hear that? Having a source would definitely have me feeling more at ease.

Sorry, I was too lazy to read the thread!

Just saying that those graphics are very poor by every next-gen standard we have seen so far, even if they are a bit above what the Xbox could probably do.

Err, I did. I'm still left with the question as to why they'd release screenshots of the game in that state, if it were true.

You guys talking about the Xenon thing? It is by far what gives it away, that this is just OLD. Man we have know for months that the console would be named Xbox 360. That thing saying Xenon is proof that its just testing.

So either this is for Xbox, or is just old.

Look at the Track Record of Team Ninja, now look At Xbox 360 specs, now say that you believe that is what the game is going to look like on the Xbox360...... No way man, its like Sony showing the Ps3 and Gt5 looking like Gt4 with just a bit off added bling bling.

Why would they put these screens on their press site in a folder clearly labeled DOA4? AFAIK, Fishie (a known Sony hater) is the only one speaking for Tecmo. Correct me if I'm wrong. I don't see Tecmo running their own damage control, and they didn't have any "work in progress" captions on these pics. Isn't it possible that these are the pics of the game, and that they either aren't done implementing the full lighting model, or that they simply put out a slightly disappointing product? Those character models are not from the Xbox. Neither are the bgs. And why on earth would they have anything Xenon-related in an Xbox game? It's DOA4 for the X360. The state of development is unknown, but one would guess that if it appeared in an E3 press site, that it's what they intended to show off. I don't think anyone should be running damage control for Team Ninja. PEACE.

" ACTUALIZACIÓN: El origen de las capturas es incierto, y aunque hay un gran avance a nivel de texturas y polígonos sobre DOA3 no parece claro que sean capturas de Xbox 360. Permaneced atentos. "

From the very same site. And guys take a look at this:

Wich one is running on Xbox? Its impossible.

I am beginning to think that these DoA4 screenshots might be high-resolution, anti-aliased Xbox1 screens.

these are the graphics that I am hoping we will see with 3rd gen Xbox360 games and 2nd gen PS3 games

Team Ninja pre-rendered CGI from Ninja Gaiden and one of the DoA games

Doesn't anyone remember how Team Ninja ported DOA2 to PS2 and Xbox years ago? That's how they start developing for an unreleased console.
