-1080p 30Hz (soon to be moved to 60Hz) digital content
-HD RGB 30bit (10/10/10)
-Ultra high definition surround 3D sound

Just wondering when we will be able to play games at these immersion degree (when R1000 launches?). I dont want to be too old when this dream comes true; in the end who the hell wants to look to the reality from a window instead of getting immersed to it.

you know, you may joke about that but you can actually find stereoscopic adult images and let me tell you- it's AMAZING. once you get used to that stuff 2d just doesnt do it for you anymore, it's just so incredible. There are a few free places I've seen, but I also found a place with DVD's for sale!

I believe the joke here is that a real woman tends to be slightly more AMAZING than any image (2D or 3D.) Once you've had flesh, those old digital images just don't do it anymore... it's just so incredible!

Of course, the "free" part isn't true anymore. A good friend of mine once said, "There's sex for love, and there's sex for money... and sex for money is cheaper."

Didn't even know about stereoscopic pics on the net (not proper photo ones anyway). Had a look at some normal ones. It does look nice, but its hard to do and pretty cheap.. obviously. I'd hope that the tech mentioned above would be significantly better.

Actually, Smell-o-vision is currently in use in a simulation ride out here in the southern california area. Disneyland's California adventure has a ride that simulates handgliding around different areas in the state. Depending on the locale, the scents change and tie into the scene. It is call Soaring over California.

It is one of the more immersive enviornments available to the public outside the lab, or aerospace.

yeah, actually there was a device that could have been in our homes a few years ago that synthesized smells. however, noone was willing to pick it up and start producing the thing. I can't remember why, though.

Yeah I dream in 3D and in color too (most people don't). I also dream physical sensations directly.

This morning I woke up because I was dreaming about some contraption I was manipulating in a fish tank. It wouldn't stay in the right place and I had to keep re-adjusting it. I was aggravated by having to get my arms and short-sleeved shirt wet. Then I noticed this pretty 6-inch long slender pale gold fish with light blue vertical patterns on it near my right hand. I thought, hey what a pretty fish, and grabbed it and lifted it out of the water, watching the water drain away. The fish wiggled about and I opened my hand to let the fish go. As it fell away if bit my hand on the heel-side near my pinkie finger with short pointy teeth. The bite was shocking and mildly painful, and I woke up to inspect my hand to see if there was anything *really* biting it.

Is this "beyond 3D" or what?

p.s."Smello-Vision" was actually used in a couple of horror movies in the 50s. It was not popular, since most smells were on the bad side of things...
