Diablo III - It's official

Nice, no NDA this time. Way to get discussion of the game out there :)

There's no way in hell a NDA with a public beta would work anyway so why even bother? :p

Anyone know if Euros will get to betatest at the same time as Murricans?

Doesn't a public beta imply anyone can join in? Isn't this really still considered to be a closed beta since it's invite only?

Ya it's invite only at this point, but there is definitely no NDA.

If anyone is interested you can find live streams of beta testers at places like JustinTV.

It's Friends and Family invites only, at this point. Blues claims the "open" beta is beginning soon, according to Blizz.

I can't help but shudder reading the feedback in that forum.

They all seem, pardon my french, like utter muppets that have a hard time writing a single, intelligible sentence.

Pretty massive update! I checked out the community website and apparently they've added some new features:

Skill Calculators:

Updated Class Profiles:

Shared Stash Information:

The Cauldron of Jordan and the Nephalem Cube (for crafting):

Also, I found a screenshot of a Stone of Recall. Pretty nice feature. Won't have to stack those silly town portal scrolls:

Also, I found a Youtube user who posted almost the entire F&F beta, showcasing every class. All of his videos are in high def and pretty lengthy, with great sound:

Yeah yeah yeah, release it already :p

Joke aside, I think the only thing left for me now is actually to try it out. Not sure any kind of video, screenshots or calculators can do it for me until then.

Thanks for those, been watching some of the videos. I'm getting pretty damn excited for this to finally come out. Looking forward to going the Monk at first.

I know, right? It's nice to finally get an official glimpse of the actives and passive, though. Some of them look pretty sick, indeed. Barbarians get a sprint. I'm still worried about the dead zone between 31-60. Skills seems to halt at 30.

I think it's going to be barbarian, wizard, and then monk for me. Possibly the demon hunter if the game's appeal really clicks with me, and doubtful I ever touch the witch doctor. But you never know.

Edit: And, man, some of those videos are awesome. Bring on the $250 collector's edition, Blizzard. :/

They will be leveling with You, so dont worry about their power.

Skill calc is nice touch, but they need to implement functions for lower lvls too.

Oh come on, it will be good game, but not that good :p Support other devs with this cash, like Crate Entertainment, Runic Games, Grinding Gear Games [or Arenanet], the more hack and slash games ,the better.

Watching the wizard, the whirlwinds drag around assorted debris and corpses it catches along it's path. There's going to be a lot of interaction with powers and the environment from what I can tell. Awesome.

Upwards of 250 items sounds like quite a lot to me. I dunno bout you, but the dozen or so you can fit into the D2 stash is NOT enough, but ~20 times as many, that feels better.

If you somehow still manage to run out, maybe you should be less of a packrat, eh? :p

Yeah sounds like a lot more than what we had in D2. I guess since it's shared and if you had a lot of characters then it might get a little cramped :) Shared gold is another very nice feature for when you make new characters.
